I am a Student doing a project on embedded image processing i am using OMAP L138 LCDK development kit for it sir i want to ask that i want to use a CMOS camera with it so which camera will be suitable and how can it be interfaced through CCS ? please give me some hint regarding camera compatibility..

Thanks for your post.

It would be advisable for you to download the omapl138 lcdk starterware VPIF loopback example and walkthrough the reference code for the same, sothat, you will understand how video capture through camera interface and display over LCD.

You shall downlaod the OMAPL138 starterware package from the below link:

http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/c6000/starterware/01_10_04_01/index_FDS.html

If already downloaded, you shall find the VPIF loopback example in the below location:

~\OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03\examples\lcdkOMAPL138\vpif_lcd_loopback

hello;

My project is related to real time embedded image processing application has no any intermediate PC .it needs minimum 30 fps for small color object detection the resolution is D1 (720x480 pixels) 8 bit pixel. the question is OMAP-L138 LCDK is capable for my application ? if not suggest TI real time DSP board.

can i develop my image color object detection algorithm on CCS in 30 ms time for a single frame?

please help.
