SPI0 flash boot issue with DMA code

Hi all,

i am working on the OMAP-137L Spectrum EVM board.i am facing a strange issue while booting my code from SPI0 flash.

code functionality is like i am serving UART2(used for modbus ) using DMA.

old code which was working without DMA ,boots correctly from SPI0 flash and works well.

but new code with DMA doesnt work from SPI0 flash.

the furstrating thing is that the same code runs correctly in debug mode(free run).

i appreciate if someone from ti or ti community member can help me out in this issue.

Hi Ashwin,

Thanks for your post.

In order to use DMA to read/write data from SPI peripheral and to trigger dma transfer, please ensure DMAREQEN bit is enabled in the SPI0 register and also, make sure, your DMA configuration in linking to different PaRAM set for rx/tx events.
