AM335x LCD IO pin multiplexers

Hi Steve,

Are you changing the pinmux configuration in the kernel or through the /sys/kernel/debug/omap_mux/ interface? Can you verify the pinmux configuration for these two pins through the sysfs interface?

I change the mux mode in run time on Windows Compact 7 by a IOCLT to the kernel (writes directly to registers).

After boot (MLO / eboot and Windows) the LCD is on and working fine.

This works fine for most of the signals / muxes, but not for LCD_DATA0 and LCD_DATA11.

Can you verify this issue running Linux? We only support Linux running on the AM335x in this forum.

Another suggestion is to verify that the pinmux configuration register addresses #defines inside the WinCE source code are correct (check the AM335x Technical Reference Manual for the correct register addresses).

 I don't think this is a software issue because I just write directly to the processor regsiters.

Perhaps, but I can only help you debug the issue while running Linux.

The reset states of these pins are as GPIOs, so if the LCD is able to run at first, this means that your kernel is able to change the pinmux configuration values from GPIO to LCD function. It's strange that this doesn't happen when you try to reverse the pins states. Can you read back the pinmux configuration registers values and see if they changed?
