xmodmap: unable to open display ' '

Hi ,

I am using ti filesystem "tisdk-rootfs-image-am335x-evm.tar.gz". I have added loadkeys support and I could modify the keymap traslation table using 'loadkeys' but while running xmodmap getting "xmodmap: unable to open display '' error.

Do i need to add any other support ?

Hi,

Do you have "X" server support on your filesystem?

If no, then you have to enable X server with display opened (export DISPLAY:=0) to run x applications like xmodmap , xclock etc.,

try the below commands to check,

target-root# X

target-root# X11

So i have created new filesystem using buildroot. I have added xmodmap support.

Can you tell me how will add x server support ?
