C6748 LCDK MMC/SD0 bootmode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6748

Hello,

I had a follow-up question regarding the SD card in C6748. I am using the TMS320C6748 processor for one of my projects, and I was running some of the starterware examples on LCDK C6748. My question is - the boot mode in the LCDK for MMC/SD0 is switches in SW1 [1-4] are [off, off, off, on]. I got this info from LCDK webpage. And the bootloader document for TMS320C6748 says that, for MMC/SD0 the boot pins BOOT[7:0] are 00x11100. Can anybody please confirm this information for me.

Thank you,

Srinidhi

  • Srinidhi,

This needed to be a new thread instead of being added to an answered thread. New threads are much more likely to get attention for people other than those on the original thread.

Have you looked at the board documentation to see which boot pins are connected to which pins on SW1?

Also, I am always unhappy with our documentation when it uses "off" and "on" which could mean 0 and 1 or 1 and 0, respectively.

So I suggest you look at the reference manual that came with the LCDK, which probably includes a schematic, and determine how these pins and switches are related.

Or you can try the settings that are stated in the starterware examples and see how the board works. There is no reason to assume they are wrong, other than the unknown mapping of switches to boot pins.

  • HI Randy,

Thank you for answering my question, and starting a new thread. The schematics helped me to figure out the boot mode in LCDK.
