how to set encoder parameters to make dm365 encode 720x576 resolution ?

hi all

i am working on dm365/dm368

when capture D1 PAL or NTSC resolution , the input buf to encoder resolution is 736x576 or 736x480 , how to set to make the encoder working at 720x576 or 720x480 resolution ?

i tried to set as follow but the encoder create failed :

maxWidth = 736

inputWidth = 720

captureWidth = 736

Can you please try setting these parameters?

dynamicparams.videncDynamicParams.inputWidth
dynamicparams.videncDynamicParams.inputHeight

i set this as follows

i_dynparams.videncDynamicParams.inputHeight = iHeight;
i_dynparams.videncDynamicParams.inputWidth = iWidth;

if(iWidth == 736)
{
i_dynparams.videncDynamicParams.inputWidth = 720;
i_dynparams.videncDynamicParams.captureWidth = 736;

the log is:

@0x000efcb3:[T:0x4cf13490] ti.sdo.dmai - [Venc1] XDM_SETPARAMS failed, status=-1

[capture layer] --------------- video fd=38

create video encode fialed ,and exit

Hi,

Which codec version are you using? Is it possible to get extended error message, by using debug library?

Please use the debug library with the latest codec version 02.30.00.06 and share the logs.

yes ,i change to the 02.30.00.06 codec , but there is no debug-version ,

to be different from the 02.30.00.01 , the venc1_create is successful , but the VIDENC1_process() reture a error :

@0x000142e5:[T:0x4c7f1490] ti.sdo.dmai - [Venc1] VIDENC1_process() failed with error (-1 ext: 0x8006)

Hi,

The error code "0x8006" says inBuf elements were not set correctly. This can happen when:

1. inBufs->numBufs > 3

2. inBufs->frameWidth != usEncFrmWidth

3. inBufs->frameHeight != usEncFrmHeight

So please confirm this.

Please use 02.30.00.06 version instead of 02.30.00.01 (not a GA release).
