L2 cache of DM6437

I didnt quiet understand the size of the L2 cache is DM6437. In the manual it says that 128 KB of L2 memory can be configured as SRAM or cache or combination of both. Then it also says there is 2 MB of SRAM that contributes to the memory map. Cant we assign this 2 MB of SRAM as L2 cache ?

Hi,

DM6437 have 128kbyte ( or 1Mega bits) of L2 memory. In DM6437 datasheet also its mention that L2 size is 128kbyte.

Where you found that 2MB as SRAM size ?

In this document it is mentioned that 2MB SRAM is off-chip memory, like NAND, NOR. I don't think you can use this as Local memory to DSP, even if you are able to use it wont give positive performance.
