getting started with equalizer project

hello all

I don't really know if this is the place for this types of questions, I hope it is.

my final year project is using the c6713 and implementing a graphic  equalizer. Im having some trouble getting started though. I hoped someone could give me some pointers here for  how to proceed from this point.

im really stuck with what i should do now. i have some basic knowledge about the kit and about  equalizer, Im asking for help just to get the ball rolling.

im using the c6713 with CCS v3.03 (yeah,i know its old but that the kit and software i have at school and i know its good enough for this project).

i guess my question is how do you start this kind of project? i know that my filters will be build in Matlab but i dont know how to integrate it with the kit (is there some kind of guide or tutorial for this?)

i dont really know how do i control the Kit when in the end. how do i simulate equalizer? is there any kind of tutorials that will help me? (i have like 500MB in PDF for the DSK, its too much information. i need to narrow down the search for just what relevant for me for know)

i really hope you could help me. my biggest problem is understanding what i should do, doing that is just learning

thanks,

peretz

  • Peretz,

Have you tried asking your professor for some pointers? I am sure others have walked this same paths for years (since the DSK6713 was originally purchased) and started with the same blank stare.

The right place to start is with the archived training class. Please go to the TI Wiki Pages and search for "C6713 training" (no quotes) and go through the entire training course. Only after going through it all will you know which parts are needed and which parts are not. All of it may be needed by the time you are finished with your class or your career.

Matlab is not a product of TI. Please contact the MathWorks team for information on using Matlab and interfacing to the DSK6713.
