I need a lot of help. I'm trying to set up a C54x development environment and am completely lost. I've read and tried to follow guidelines out there but most of the documentation is only for newer configurations.

Here is what I think I need:
DSP/BIOS 5.31 (I have this installed but have no idea what to do with it.)
eXpressDSP (I don't really know what this is. When I click the link on this page (http://www.ti.com/general/docs/gencontent.tsp?contentId=46891, it goes to what looks like the right page but then it redirects me and the wiki link on that page is dead too.)
XDAIS (I have this installed by don't know what to do with it.)
I also have the CSL and DSP libraries installed, though I don't know what to do with them.
As you can tell, I've never done this before. Never worked with a DSP and don't have much experience with CCS. It seems like some of the software packages were designed to help configure DSPs but all I can get open is CCS which seems to only let me do the raw programming. I would have thought there would be a wizard for doing simple things like setting up attached flash and bootloaders but I can't find it.
Please help.
