Omap 3530 EVM rev G USB to Ethernet Controller

The SMSC 9155 on EVM Rev G has a approximate read/write throughput of 46Mbits/sec or roughly 6MB/sec according to OMAP 3530 Linux PSP datasheet. I would like to get throughput higher than the SMSC 9115 by using a USB to Ethernet controller.  I looked at the beagle board community and it seems that Trendnet was supported. I would like to know if you could provide a list of USB to Ethernet controller supported by the latest Linux PSP for EVM rev G. Thank you.

  • BTran,

If a USB to Ethernet device that is supproted on the Linux kernel version then the same would run just fine on OMAP.  It all depends on USB to Ethernet dongle vendor driver support capabality.
