How to disable DVO2 using sysfs?

Hi Young,

Before disabling any VENC, you have to make sure that the path connected to this vencs are stopped, lets say, if grpx is connected to DVO2 venc, please stop the grpx path first and then stop the venc.

But if we stop the component before the VENC,we have to disable the displayLink.Then DM8168's VGA is disabled.

How to just stop the DVO2?Such as to stop from the scope of hardware/register?

I am not asking about stopping the component video, but i am asking about stopping the path feeding DVO2. The path could be here grpx or video path. Each of these paths could be individually stopped using displayLink stop api. Please use this api. Without stopping this path, we cannot stop DVO2 VENC.

We should not stop the VENC directly from the register, it may cause different kind of issues.

Our case is that VGA output is tiled to DVO2.

Then how to just disable DVO2?VGA and DVO2 use the same display link.

Yes, i think that's the correct api. But once you call this api, it will stop the output on both the vencs HDCOMP and DVO2, so you will blank output on both Vencs. Also, once you stop the DVO2 venc, it will break tying, so hdcomp and dvo2 will not be tied when you restart the DVO2. You want to keep them tied, you require to change mode on both the tied vencs.
