As I have been looking at the AM3715 and what I need it to do, I have concerns on whether it will be fast enough.
I am trying to design a pocket multi signal digital oscilloscope. The design will have a couple of different configurations. The most involved design will use (2) ADS5404 ADCs operating at their max sampling frequency and a 24 bit digital I/O interface capable of accepting or generating a 200MHz digital signal.
Additionally, I need to be able to interface with a 24 bit 480x272 TFT LCD, eMMC Flash memory, DDR RAM (any type, LPDDR, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, etc.), an SD card, and controlling various ICs utilizing both I2C High speed and SPI interfaces.
I am looking, at this point, at a multi core ARM processor + FPGA solution or a Multi core ARM + DSP solution.
What would be my best bet for getting the right processor for my system?
Any specific suggestions?
