Hi,

One question about the SYS/BIOS 6.

In document "Migrating a DSP/BIOS 5 Application to SYS/BIOS 6", SPRAAS7H – January 2013

Table 1. Module Mappings from DSP/BIOS 5 to SYS/BIOS 6

STS module,

SYS/BIOS 6 Legacy Module: ti.bios.STS;

Recommended SYS/BIOS 6 Module : None

Legacy APIs Supported?: Yes

Support Plan: No RTA tool support. Legacy APIs allow compiling and linking

Need kind help to understand clearly what above means if using BIOS 6.35.04.50 ?

Hi Han,

The above means that there is a legacy API support module in SYS/BIOS 6 for BIOS 5's STS module but there is no SYS/BIOS 6 equivalent module that offers the same functionality.

In SYS/BIOS 6, you can use UIA (http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/uia/index.html) for Real-time analysis.

Thank you for prompt replay.

In SYS/BIOS 6, with the approach similar as the link below to calculate the CPU load in real time,

Would you please recommend some documents for SYS/BIOS 6 ?

Ashish,

I found that sysbios.utils.Load may be the better choice for calculating the CPU load.

Ther is a user guide which is part of the SYS/BIOS 6 product (It should be in bios_6_xx_xx_xx/docs folder of your SYS/BIOS installation) which is another useful resource.
