IBL GEl difference

hi,

i would like to know the difference b/w IBL and gel.

whether all the initialization done in IBL is done in GEl aslo.

can we boot the Silicon REV 2.06678 DSP without IBL,

please suggest the document to  refer

  • Sijomon,

    GEl File:
It has been an essential feature of CCS from the beginning and connect to the target.
In CCS often specify a start-up script for Target Configurations.
Refer this wiki page for detailed information.

    IBL:

It should be need the device initizaltion. In all boot modes, the entire boot operation can be partitioned into two sections:
    • Initialization
    • Boot process
In the initialization phase, the RBL configures the device resources to start the boot process

See the KeyStone Architecture DSP Bootloader User Guide for detailed info.
