DVSDK support for Ubuntu kernel 3.7.10

I searched pasts posts, but could not locate exact answers to my Qs, hence posting it here.

I have ported an Ubuntu kernel 3.7.10 on OMAP3530 processor and are planning to leverage OMAP's DSP core.

I would like to know whether DVSDK 4_01_00_09 supports this newer kernel.

If not then any pointers on how I should make a further progress? Do I need to compile DVSDK with 3.7.10 kernel? How about Multimedia codecs libraries as I do not have source code to compile with kernel 3.7.10?

Hi Atul,

The DVSDK 4_01_00_09 comes with kernel version 2.6.32. This is TI's kernel release which contains some patches and it is adopted for the omap35xx processors. You could try to build the Ubuntu kernel 3.7.10 with defconfig suitable for your board or make manually configuration using menuconfig. Then you should try to add omap35xx specific changes from the original DVSDK kernel. This seems hard work. Good luck!
