AM335x and Supported NAND Memory Device - 4GB

Hi,

I decided to use NAND memory with the following parameters:
Volume: 32Gb (4GB)
Bus Organization: x8

According to the instructions of  Supported NAND Devices  in AM335x  .... Technical Reference Manual (Rev. J)

memory should have in the first byte of Device ID:  D7h ,  A7h or 87h.

but I could not find a memory with that value.

For example I show below memory with characteristics that satisfy me.

My question is whether this is typing error, or to continue with the search memory with the appropriate value in

Byte 1

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Vladimir,

If the NAND memory you want to use is ONFI compliant (the datasheet should state that), the ROM code will use the ONFI protocol to get the parameters from the NAND chip itself. The table you are looking at is used by ROM code only if ONFI recognitions fails.
