WiLinkTM 8 Module on EVM

Hello,

How can I get an OMAP5432 EVM with the WiLinkTM 8.0 module on it like the one shown in the Quick Start Guide http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swcu131 on page 3 and 4? It is a rather critical part for evaluating a design And there doesn't seem to be an option for adding it on the developers site. The Reference Guide gives a brief description and states that the EVM does not come with it populated.

What is the EVM shown with it populated in the Quick Start Guide and how can I order it?

Hello,

OMAP5432 uEVM vendor is SVTronics, you can see available omap5432 uevm boards on their website: https://www.svtronics.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=33

I suggest, that you contact them for information regarding which board model has WiLinkTM 8.0.

Hi,

I did some search on this topic, and according to Android release notes (http://omapedia.org/wiki/Panda5AJ.1.5.1_Release_Notes#Building_TI_WLAN_Drivers): "OMAP5 Panda boards with model number uEVM5432x-02-01-00 and uEVM5432x-02-11-00 both have the WL1857 ES2.1 on them"

Hello Yordan,

Thanks for the information.

The suppliers web site actually states that you should use the E2E Forum for supports. They do not provide any options for ordering any of the two boards you listed on their site. I did send an email to them requesting if and how someone can order a board with the WiLinkTM 8.0 included.

I will let you know the results.

To order an uEVM5432 with the WLAN module you need to:

Select the product OMAP5432 EVM and select the "Rework Option" when you add the product to your shopping cart.

The Rework Option will take care of having the WiFi module installed on the board
