why I can' t run the demo?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6657

Several days ago, I could run the imagine_processing demo and the hua demo, but I don't know why I can't run the program now. When I load the program to the DSP, it will run automaticly and can't output anything . I have never change the source code of the program . Is my DSP wrong ? Or my CCS v5.2 has problem such as wrong cfg? I have configure it " run to main".I use TMS320C6657

Thanks

  • Ning Sun,

Please share the some more details to trace your issue.
Which version of MCSDK package using by you?
Did you change any configuration on DSP?
Are you using proper gel file for C6657 device?
In addition that share the details of the program counter when halt DSP.
Can you try some other example project like under the PDK, let us know the status.

  • Hi, Pubesh

I use the mcsdk_2_01_01_04, pdk_C6657_1_1_1_4, bios_6_33_06_50. I'am a beginer of  TI DSP, so I don't know if I have changed the configuration of the DSP. I run the"C:\ti\pdk_C6657_1_1_1_4\packages\ti\platform\evmc6657l\platform_test" program I it is normal. And I also try the demo/hua, the "C:\ti\mcsdk_2_01_01_04\examples\ndk\helloWorld\evmc6657l", the same wrong happend.

    Thanks

  • Ning Sun,

I understand that, you can build and run the other example project successfully.
Only you have problem with hua demo and NDK hello world example.
You can follow the steps for making your board correctly,
    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TMDSEVM6657L_EVM_Hardware_Setup

If you are using Windows 7, install and run CCS/BIOS MCSDK in administrator mode, this will rule out issues with CCS start-up and RTSC component recognition.
I hope, you know how to use CCS to connect the target,Please see this wiki for making the setup, connect the target and successful run.
