We do not have a need for RTC on the AM3359. We do not use any of the low power modes.
It is not clear if there is anything else on the device that requires the real time clock? I removed the crystal, tied RTC_xtal in to gnd ans also tied RTC_PWRONRSTn to PWRONRSTn. I did not see any negative effects. Is there something I need to worry about?
Do I still have to adhere to power_on_reset reset in sequence; first RTC_PWRONRSTn and then PWRONRSTn?
Can I apply reset only to PWRONRTCn or tie booth reset inputs together?
