OMAPL-138: Power up for flashing

Hi All, 

We are working on a design with the OMAPL-138 and had a question regarding power up. In our application we are using the OMAPL-138 along with a flash chip for boot. Now, in order to program the flash chip for production we need to power the chip externally. Our question is,

  1. would it be harmful to the OMAP if we were to hold it in reset while only providing the 3v3 on the power bus ( for programming the flash chip externally) ?

    Sorry for getting it you late on this query.

    This should not harm the device by feeding only 3.3V alone and more over the RESET is held active, once you done with the programming I hope you will do the proper power on reset, by the time you should follow the power on sequence provided in the datasheet.

    There is no specific required voltage ramp rate for any of the supplies as long as the LVCMOS supplies

    operated at 3.3V (DVDD3318_A, DVDD3318_B, or DVDD3318_C) never exceed the STATIC 1.8V supplies by more than 2 volts.

    RESET must be maintained active until all power supplies have reached their nominal values.
