Boot File System from SD-Card on Beaglebone Black

Hi everybody

Recently i have started to use Linux EZSDK instead of Angstrom for developing

My goal is to boot the file system from the SDcard (or eMMC)instead of the NFS.

I've found this interesting guide

but in this case , it still booting from NFS and TFTP. is it right?

So, what steps should I do/change to obtain my goal?

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Hi Marco,

1) You have to create 2 partition in SD card and 1st partition should be formatted in FAT format and 2nd partition should in ext2/3/4 format (it depends upon the filesystem which you are going to mount)

2) You have to copy the MLO and u-boot.img files into the SD card's 1st partition.

3) You have to copy the filesystem contents into the SD card's 2ndt partition.

4) Set the boot jumper settings for SD booting.
