CCP2 as a serial data channel. Initialisation issue.

Hi TI,

My task is to make OMAP4430 receive a data from FPGA over the CCP2 camera interface, throughput > 100Mb/sec.

FPGA acts here as a camera sensor following "SMIA 1.0 Part 2: CCP2 Specification".

Problem I experience here is initialisation of the OMAP4430 CCP2 interface.

I found the Technical Reference Manual a bit unclear regarding CCP2 initialisation, and I need some clarification:

  1. Is the MIPI HS BYTECLK clock needed in CCP2 mode in order to have RESET_DONE set?

This is highlighted for CSI2 but not for CPP2, see 8.2.3.2.2 ISS CSI2 PHY and Link Initialization Sequence, it says CAUTION For the CSI2_COMPLEXIO_CFG[29] RESET_DONE bit to be set to 0x1 (reset completed), the external sensor must to be active and sending the MIPI HS BYTECLK.

  1. Could someone let me know is there any available code which does a full CCP2 initialisation.

Kind Regards

Dragan
