IPNC RDK 3.5.0 Procces Link on DSP

Hi,

I am trying to make a test project that SD video image is modified in the DSP and send back to M3 to be encoded and streamed. However I could not manage to modified the image buffer in the DSP properly. I modified the  multich tristream fullFeature use case to have a T connection to DSP. I have the link connection as follows:

Camera Link(SD output)-->IPC_Frames_Out_VPSS-->MergeLink-->DUPL_DISPLAY-->IPC_OUT_VPSS-->Video M3

ProcessLink of the IPC_Frames_Out_VPSS is set to IPC_Frames_IN_DSP and previousLink of IPC_Frames_IN_DSP is set to IPC_Frames_Out_VPSS. My test link is connected to IPC_Frames_IN_DSP.

I modify frame buffer as follows in the test link running on DPS as follows;;

rectInfo.startX = 12;
rectInfo.startY = 12;

bufferAddress = (UInt32)pFullFrame->addr[0][0] + rectInfo.startX + pChInfo->startY + ((rectInfo.startY+pChInfo->startY) * Pitch);

DM81XX_EDMA3_memset(DRAW_EDMA_CHID_DRAW,             // chId
                                DRAW_EDMA_QUEUEID_DRAW,          // dmaQueue
                                colorDWORD,                      // setValue
                                bufferAddress,                   // dstAddr
                                760,                               // setWidth
                                460,                              // setHeight
                                Pitch);                         // lineOffset

what ever the value of the colorDWORD I get the same image output in the video stream. It seems that instead of setting the Y value to desired area, value of line 12 is copied to the remaining lines. What could be the reason for that?

Another issue is; consol output continuesly prints "Warning: Invalid 'nal_unit_type': 0" when any stream is open. They may be connected. Any idea, what could be the reason for this warning?

Best regards

  • I guess I found the reason of the funny image. DM81XX_EDMA3_memset fills the first line using memory access  then starts dma copy of that line to remaining lines without cache write back. Since actual memory is not updated to due to cache, previous line copied to the remaining lines and that funny image occurs.

    However I still could not figure out "Warning: Invalid 'nal_unit_type': 0".
