AM3505 power up sequence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3505

Customer using AM3505, and we ran into a slight contradiction on something.  The 3505 EVM and the 3505 datasheet list two different power up sequences.  So I really just wanted to clarify, what is the correct power up sequence?  Do you have that easily accessible, and can you please share that with me?

  • As a general rule you should always trust the datasheet over any other documentation, as it tends to be the most updated and groomed document for device specifications.

EVMs in particular have a tendency to vary from what TI may recommend for designs, as they are designed very quickly and often before the device is fully characterized, which can lead to incongruencies like this. For this reason the EVM is often not considered a true 'reference design' for the part it hosts, even if it is the most commonly available 'known working' schematic and layout.
