Emulator reset and C6657 reset connection

Hello,

I plan to use XDS560V2 and MIPI 60pin connector as the emulator for C6657. Although the 6pin(nRESET) of MIPI connector should be connected to C6657 reset, C6657 has three types of reset which are nPOR, nRESETFULL, and nRESET. Which reset is proper to be connected to emulator reset?

Best regards, Toshi

  • Hi Toshi,

More information on the TGTRST connection can be found in SPRU655. The TGTRST on pin six can be connected to either RESETz or RESETFULLz depending on what type of reset you want to control. Remember that these two signals are 1.8V inputs. The emulator TGTRST uses an open collector driver which requires a pull up to the DVDD18 supply.  You may want to include some logic on the board to AND the TGTRST with the on board circuit which drives either the RESETz or RESETFULLz. In addition I would recommend that you connect the TGTRST pin to the logic with a series resistor so you can isolate the pin if you don't get the behavior that you are expecting.

    Regards, Bill
