Hi,
Is the MAC address in a AM3357 device always within the same OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier)?
Or in other words, are the lowest 24Bits of the MAC address in a AM3357 device unique?
Best regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
All AM335X factory programmed MAC addresses are unique.
Hi Biser,
Yes they are as a 48Bit number. The question is: Are the MAC addresses from one device type all out of one OUI number range or does TI use different OUI numbers for one device or device family?
I don't think the OUI can be guaranteed to be unique. I assume we use one pool of MAC addresses for all our production. If that is depleted will just go to the next one we bought. I have already seen different OUI on AM335x. However all of them usually get resolved on registration query (or e.g. Wireshark) as Texas Instruments as we do purchase and register the MAC pool.
Regards,
Frank is correct...there is no correlation between the device family and the programmed MAC address for any Sitara device.
