MPMCL not working with ramfs

Hi There,

Greetings !!!

We are using -

Target chip : TCI6636k2h
Target EVM : XTCIEVMK2X Rev1.1

MCSDK version:
mcsdk_bios_3_00_01_12
mcsdk_linux_3_00_01_12

Note : Code is buiit for c64+

Earlier we were using boot=net for filesystem and using mpmcl utility to download dsp. (File System -tisdk-rootfs-rt.cpio.gz)
Now we want to use ramfs, and we have done all necessary changes (File System - arago-console-image.cpio.gz).
Our EVM is booting properly but when we try to download dsp using mpmcl, it shows mpmcl as unknown command.
While using nfs, we can see mpm folder in /etc, but same is not there if we use ramfs.

For trial we have tried to use tisdk-rootfs-rt.cpio.gz(size - 33.0 MB) instead of arago-console-image.cpio.gz(7.7 MB) file system with ramfs but it causes kernal panic.

Hi Vishal,

1. You have to use tisdk-rootfs-rt.cpio.gz file system for mpmcl commands. The arago-console-image.cpio.gz is the minimal file system that does not contain ti components.

2. Please update the ramfs size as below and try booting.

args_ramfs=setenv bootargs ${bootargs} earlyprintk rdinit=/sbin/init rw root=/dev/ram0 initrd=0x802000000,90M

I hope this would solve the issue.

args_ramfs=setenv bootargs ${bootargs} earlyprintk rdinit=/sbin/init rw root=/dev/ram0 initrd=0x802000000,90M

We also have to modify memory start addresses.
