Hi,

Which set of input logic level specifications applies to the I2C pins (SCL and SDA) of the AM3517 ARM processor, the ones defined in Philips I2C Specification Version 2.1, or the ones in the TI SPRS550E, section 3.3, page 84?

For 3.3v standard mode, the former specs VIL as 0.3VDD = 0.99v and VIH as 0.7VDD = 2.31v. The latter has VIL as 0.8v and VIH as 2.0v.

The values from the AM35X Datasheet apply.

Thank you for the timely reply Biser. I was hoping the v2.1 I2C spec would apply as I would have a little more noise margin with the I2C device I'm interfacing to. The reason I thought the I2C spec might apply is because there's a statement on page 194 (section 6.6.11) of SPRS550E that says "The I2C interface is compliant with Philips I2C specification version 2.1."
