8107 DVR RDK Audio AAC encoder

Hi,

Is there any possibility of getting AAC encoded audio from 8107 using DVR RDK framework?. I saw that because that DSP is not preset RPE based Audio codec is disabled in the code for 8107. Any help is appreciated.

There is no option on 8107 to encode AAC as you have rightly mentioned. You will have to do the encoding on cortexA8. We have not tried this so don't have estimate on potential Mhz required for AAC encode on cortex A8.

Hi Badri,

Thanks for your reference. So the product link below should have implemented this through A8 by using any library or their own way (still on A8). Am I correct?.

Yes I don't see any way of doing AAC encode on 8107 other than encoding on A8. You could enquire with Z3 for confirmation.
