DM8148 MCFW: mosaic link picture in picture mode

Hello TI teams,

please let me know is mosaic link from ud-works MCFW support picture in picture mode - I mean, for example, one video channel in full resolution on display as background and second video channel with scaled video as foreground (on top of first video).

If no, please let me know what is best way to implement it?

  • and is display layout can be changed dynamically on the run-time, without stop video pipe?

  • PIP layout is supported. In DVRRDK command line demo under "Display Options" -> "Switch Layout" you will see option for

    "1CH + 2CH PIP "

Layout can be changed at run-time by selecting different layout.

  • Hello Badri,

    thanks alot for your reply.

And last question, please, corresponds to PIP mode in mosaci link.

Is mosaic link support partial overlapping between 2 video frames?

    Lets say:  display coordinates for channel 0: offsetX = 0, offset0 = 0, sizeX = 720, sizeY = 576

    and display coordinates for channel1: offsetX = 640, offsetY = 480, sizeX = 640, sizeY = 480

In listed above example 2 frames are partially ovelapped.

    1) Is mosaic (or display link) may correct resolve partially overlapped frames?

    2) is mosaic link support parameter to define background and foreground channel in overlapped area?

    3) Is mosaic link (or display link) support parameter to define transparency and key color for foreground overlapped area?

    Thanks again
