DM8148 mcfw: mosaic link, video frame partial overlapping

Hello TI' teams,

please let me know:

Is mosaic link support in PIP mode partial overlapping between 2 video frames?

Lets say:  display coordinates for channel 0: offsetX = 0, offset0 = 0, sizeX = 720, sizeY = 576

and display coordinates for channel1: offsetX = 640, offsetY = 480, sizeX = 640, sizeY = 480 and

display resolution = 1920x1080x50p

In listed above example 2 frames are partially ovelapped.

1) Is mosaic (or display link) may correct resolve partially overlapped frames, for avoid blinking?

2) is mosaic link support parameter to define background and foreground channel in overlapped area?

3) Is mosaic link (or display link) support parameter to define transparency and key color for foreground overlapped area?

Thanks again

Yes you can have overlapping window. Refer http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/717/t/278305.aspx?pi199607=1

As mentioned in the linked thread , the channel you want to be visible should be assigned higher window number in SWMS .

    - Alpha blending and color keying is not supported for video windows in SWMS. You will have to use HDVPSS hardware capability to support Video-Video blending. Blending of only 2 video planes is possible in h/w.
