AM1808 USB2.0 host connection diagram, termination resistors

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808

Hi,

is there an application note or some other document from TI that would explain how to connect the USB 2.0 OTG in host-only mode? In particular I would like to know whether any external termination resistors are needed on the D+/D- lines. I couldn't find it in any of the available documents.

In the evaluation board design the USB connector is connected directly to the AM1808 without any resistors (on the other hand the USB 1.1 has external resistors). The USB 2.0 Board Design and Layout Guidelines (SPRAAR7A) application note doesn't mention any resistors either, but there is no complete recommended schematics, only block diagrams or partial schematics.

So my question is whether the USB termination resistors are already in the PHY. It would be great if you could provide a detailed block diagram of the PHY.

Thanks!
Petr
