Support USB class

Guru 24520 points

Hi community member,

Please let me confirm the following question.

[Question]

Can C5000 series support USB class of  "Personal Healthcare"?

My customer would like to do that C5000 outputs some health data which captured on customer's board(C5000) via USB to anything.  So, I would like to know whether C5000 can support it or not.

Also if yes, do TI provide the protocol stack of Personal Healthcare?

If no, would you please introduce the 3rd party which can support.

If you have any question, please let me know.

Best regards.

Kaka

  • Dear Kato-san,

TI's C5000 DSPs can support USB Personal Healthcare Device Class(PHDC).

USB PHDC is a protocol defined to exchange personal healthcare data over USB. Any USB device supporting USB 2.0 transfers over interrupt and bulk end points should be able implement PHDC.

As far as I know, there is no USB PHDC software stack available for C5000 DSPs but there may be a road map to support this. Someone from TI can confirm this.

    Regards,

    Pratap.

  • Hi Pratap,

    Thank you for you response.

If there is a PHDC  protocol for C5000, we can support it.

    To TI employee

Would you please provide your comments for road map of PHDC?

Or would you please introduce the third party which can support to this?

    Best regards,

    Kaka
