Powering AM3352 using TPS65910A3

Hi,

I am planning to use TPS65910A3 for powering AM3352. TI general purpose EVM and application note SWCU093C mentions the boot modes to be 10 (Boot1 = 1 and boot0 = 0). The PMIC datasheet doesn't provides the sequencing diagram for this specific setting under section 'SWITCH-ON/-OFF SEQUENCES AND TIMING'. Are there any specific care abouts for powering AM3352 using this device or i can just make the boot mode as 10 and it will automatically take care of powering sequence ?

Hi Nikhil,

Boot mode BOOT[1:0]=10b will automatically take care of powering sequence. This is the boot mode for EEPROM boot and the correct voltages and boot sequence for AM335X processors are factory programmed in the TPS65910Ax.

Thanks Biser. I have one more doubt.

As per schematic chceklist if i am not using the RTC feature of AM3352 then VDDS_RTC can be connected to any 1.8V supply and sequencing is not required for RTC_Power_on reset also.

In this case do I need to have an external LDO for 1.8V generation as used in TI GP EVM or I can connect this 1.8 to TPS65910's 1.8V output? and the remaining voltage sequencing is anyway taken care by PMIC.
