Building UIA without IPC and NDK

Hi,

I'm trying to rebuild UIA. In our system we don't use IPC or NDK, so naturally I don't have them installed. So, I'm getting a build error about some IPC headers missing.

Is there a way to configure UIA to skip building any IPC/NDK related code?

Hi Vasili,

Could you tell me what version of UIA you are using? Then I can give you a new package.bld based on your version of UIA that will allow you to build without NDK and IPC.

Hi Janet,

I'm using the latest UIA (v1.04.00.06).

I actually already succeeded patching it to compile by myself - all I did is moving my ISA from trgFilter list to trgFilter2 list in the packages\ti\uia\sysbios\package.bld file.

You might consider providing a more elegant solution for the future versions to save users the need to patch internal files. Maybe a configuration switch in UIA.mak or automatic skip of relevant files when no NDK/IPC found.

Hi Vasili,

Here is a package.bld you can replace packages/ti/uia/sysbios/package.bld with. If the IPC and NDK packages are not found in the package path, the library will be built without NDK support.
