TI C6670 DSP SRIO 2.2 specification compatibility.

Hi,

Previously i am using the SRIO driver interface between the "C6670" DSP and "XILINX Virtex FPGA" module which supports the RapidIO 2.1 spectification standard.

Now the FPGA guys are upgrading to "XILINX - Kintex  FPGA" Module.

Kintex FPGA is using the RapidIO 2.2 specification , Is this Standard supported by the C6670 SRIO LLD/Driver ?

Thanks and Regards,

Manav

  • Hi Manav,

I think SRIO LLD/Driver support RapidIO 2.2 specification (TI SRIO LLD/Driver Support for 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, and 5 Gbps rates, Support for IDLE1 and IDLE2). Please test your interface and let me know the status.

RapidIO 2.1/2.2 spectification standard Features are listed below:

    RapidIO Specification Revision 2.2
            - Physical, transport, and logical layer separations (modular architecture)
            - IDLE2 sequence - long control symbol
            - 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5.0 and 6.25 Gbaud lane rates with 1x, 2x, and 4x link widths
    RapidIO Specification Revisions 1.3 / 2.1
            - Physical, transport, and logical layer separations (modular architecture)
            - IDLE1 sequence - short control symbol
            - 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, and 5.0 Gbaud lane rates with 1x and 4x link widths

    Thanks,
