OMAP-L138 NMI pin

Hi all,

I want to use the NMI pin (j17) to detect an urgent physical condition and run an ISR. How do I do it in hardware and software? I searched all the document I could get a hold of from TI site, but no luck. Thank for any input.

I am not aware of any software example on this, but you should be able to modify some of the examples in starterware to address your need

Hi,

In SW side,

We have a starterware(non-OS) code for registering the interrupts & handler functions,

1) Need to initialize the controller (ie ARM or DSP)

2) Register the ISR to vector table

3) Map the interrupt to DSP maskable/non-maskable interrupt

4) Enable the DSP/ARM interrupts

For ARM,

OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03/system_config/armv5/omapl138/interrupt.c

For DSP,

OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03/system_config/c674x/interrupt.c

In HW side,

If you are not using the NMI pin then simply pull up it through 10K-ohm resistor,
