Network ethernet bandwidth question

Hello Sir

I hope to raise network ethernet bandwidth performence.

I tested network bandwidth, using iperf program.

device Information :

- cpu : am3359evm

- ethernet support 10/100/1000Mbps

- board is using brctl bridge util (ex. eth0-br0-eth1), use iptables.library.

test process :

#output format : 1000 Mbps

1. PC-PC test : bandwidth is about 640~720 Mbps

2. PC-BOARD-PC : bandwidth is about240~300 Mbps

3. PC-BOARD : bandwidth is about 264 Mbps

Can I upgrade network bandwidth performence? (e.g configure kernel, or iptables setting, etc)

When transfering large packet, I wish prevent packet loss.

it's my goal.

Hi Biser.

we tested trasfer output 1000Mbps packet, result bandwidth is 210~300Mbps.

This value is not meet our expectations.

what is factors affecting the performance ? (cpu processor? chips?)

Performance result be considered to replacement(upgrade) parts.

If you saw the performance benchmarks on the link I gave you, this is approximately the bandwidth you will get with AM335X. If you expect to reach something like PC-PC bandwidth, this will not be possible with this processor.

If we need to change cpu processor recommended there?
