How to programmatically get heap total free size?

Hi all,

I have a sys/bios application running on a 6457 DSP, and I know I can find the heap total free size using the ROV via a debugger, but is there a way to programatically get this information?  My program sends out diagnostic info (not using the debugger), and I would like to include this information.  Many thanks,
