C674x DSP Libs double precision

Hello!

I'm talking about C674x DSP Libs, that currently have version 3.2.0.1 and are suitable for processor C6742.

They have not DOUBLE-precision functions, only single precision. But double-precision versions are very, very-very needed.

As far as I understand, C67x Libs have double-precision, so when can I expect double-precision for C674x??

Yes, you are right. We do not have double precision functions on c674x but c66x dsplib supports few double precision functions.

As you understood, there are double precision functions supported in C67x DSPLIB and to know the details of available double precision function, please refer section 4.2 in the c67x DSPLIB programmer's reference guide as below:

I'm sorry, but this is not an answer at all.

Question is: when will the C674x DSP Libs contain the double-precision functions?? If this is not planned - then say so.

Also, additional question. If C674x is not planned for double-precision, then please tell if I could use just C67x DSP Libs instead of C674x for C6742 processor. And what will be the difference, e.g. in performance?

c674x double precision functions are not planned as of now.

No, you cannot use c67x DSP lib. double precision functions for c6742.
