Generate RESET vector and SRIO Boot

Hi,

We've just got SRIO boot working but I got tripped up because Generate RESET vector was disabled in the DSP/BIOS configuration (which was created from the DSK6455 platform configuration). This meant we spent a while wondering why the SRIO documentation implied execution would start at 0x800000 (start of L2 on C6455) but we didn't appear to have the entry point at 0x800000. When I had a poke around in tconf and found Generate RESET vector things began to make more sense.

Up until this point I had assumed that DSP/BIOS had been creating an interrupt vector table and putting it where it would just work.

Before today I've been downloading code using an emulator.

So my questions are:

Have I done the correct thing?

Why didn't DSP/BIOS create a vector table containing the reset vector and just put it at 0x800000?

Is there anything else I need to do?

Will having  Generate RESET vector selected make any difference when I'm using the emulator?

Thanks,

Matt
