error while building compact-wireless

Hi,

I am trying to build compact-wireless source against linux 2.6.33 version and it shows a warning message like

"sources/compat-wireless/config.mk:239: "WARNING: CONFIG_CFG80211_WEXT will be deactivated or not working because kernel was compiled with CONFIG_WIRELESS_EXT=n. Tools using wext interface like iwconfig will not work. To activate it build your kernel e.g. with CONFIG_LIBIPW=m."

can any one please tell how to enable the required configurations in kernel to build compact-wireless source.

Could you please confirm your device part number?

Are you referring ti releases to build compact-wireless?

Please provide the TI packages used by you?

I am using WL1835 module and i have downloaded Wilink8Add-on_installer_sdk06_00_3 from downloads.

with in that /Wilink8Add-on_installer_sdk06-00/soruces/compact-wireless i have configured

./sources/device-select wl18xx

./make KLIB="path-to-kernel-soruce" KLIB_BUILD="path-to-kernel-soruce"

Hi,

The document that you have provided was in the support of wl12xx, but my requirement was to build modules for 18xx is there any document related to that.

In your previous post KLIB has the wrong value, it had kernel source path instead of file system path.

As Raja Suggested,

./sources/device-select wl18xx

./make KLIB="path-to-kernel-soruce" KLIB_BUILD="path-to-filesystem"

Ex:

./make KLIB="/home/titus/workdir/DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.22.00.02/src/kernel/linux-03.22.00.02/" KLIB_BUILD="/usr/local/filesystem_omapl138/"
