I have a custom board based on the am335xevm. This board was originally running Windows CE. I ported U-boot and Linux with the arago distro to the board. My U-boot version is 2013.01.01-psp06.00.00.00 and my Linux version is 3.2.0-psp04.06.00.11 .
I had to run some performance test to see the strengths and weaknesses of both Operating Systems. I measured the RAM usage of my board, my board has 512 mb RAM. I noticed that Windows CE says it only has 404 mb Total RAM, Linux says it has 512 mb RAM, the correct number.
I've been trying to find an explanation for this but I haven't found anything conclusive.
Any help would be appreciated.
