Problem with New Platform wizard in CCS v6

Hello

I have just installed CCS v6.0.0.00190 after uninstalling CCS v5.4 (initially I tried to install CCS v6 into the same c:\ti folder as CCS v5.4 but this produced installer errors so I uninstalled 5.4 first) and the New Platform Wizard does not work.  Clicking the drop down list for either Device Family or Device Name results in empty lists making it impossible to select the family or device.

The problem seems to be related to the change in package paths in the shift from SYS/BIOS to TI RTOS.  If I copy the ti folder from C:\ti\tirtos_c6000_2_00_01_23\products\bios_6_40_01_15\packages to C:\ti\xdctools_3_30_01_25_core\packages then the drop down lists are now correctly populated and it is possible to select a family and device and move onto the Device Page.  It is still not possible to successfully create the new platfrom however since the drop down list in the Import... dialog is also empty and attempting to save a platform by clicking the Finish button without first importing an existing one causes the new platform wizard to crash (this behaviour also existed in CCS v5.4).

I have checked the CCS preferences under "Code Composer Studio | RTSC" and the TI-RTOS is selected in the "Products and Repositories" tab and the "Order" tab shows the correct list of package repositories.  I have also checked the menu option "Tools | RTSC Tools | Path" and  once again the correct list of repository paths is shown and the list of packages includes all of the platforms, catalogs, packages etc.

Any thoughts on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Phil G.
