Hi ,

I have a custom AM335x board and i am trying to achieve rs485 master , slave communication using libmodbus library in linux.

I am using ISO1176 ISOLATED RS-485 PROFIBUS TRANSCEIVER.

And I am getting error such as "ERROR CRC received" while communicating.

So my question is.

1. As profibus is part of PRU subsystem , so does it need any special firmware ?

2. Have the AM335x profibus tested with libmodbus library in linux .?

3. If AM335x profibus not tested with libmodbus library , then which library or package should be used for AM335x profibus communication ?

Please help us to resolve this issue..!

Hi Nitesh,

Profibus slave stack is provided only as an evaluation version. It's included in the Industial SDK, which is based on SYS/BIOS (http://www.ti.com/tool/sysbiossdk-ind-sitara).

Well does it mean we dont have profibus slave stack in linux. ?

its not possible to use profibus in linux.?

If you are talking about the PRU Profibus Slave Stack, this is not supported in Linux at present.
