Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM385, TVP5158
Dear ti members,
me and my team members are stuck up in tying DVO2 with HDMI .
We followed the post :
http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/717/t/236635.aspx?pi199607=1
But in the above post as Brijesh Jadav Suggested to Thomas Lo , we did the same thing in our ipnc rdk still its giving assertion i.e. Assertion @ Line: 706 in link_m3vpss/system/system_dctrl.c: retVal == FVID2_SOK : failed !!!
What we found out that this assertion is taking place in following lines of code in system_dctrl.c :
retVal = FVID2_control(
gSystem_objVpss.fvidDisplayCtrl,
IOCTL_VPS_DCTRL_SET_CONFIG,
&gSystem_objVpss.displayCtrlCfg,
NULL);
//GT_assert( GT_DEFAULT_MASK, retVal==FVID2_SOK);
UTILS_assert(retVal == FVID2_SOK);
As we dig futher up we found out that this above code is calling the below lines of code from ti_tools/hdvpss_01_00_01_37/packages/ti/psp/vps/drivers/display/src/vps_dctrl.c file
retVal = dcSetConfig(dcCtrlInfo, (Vps_DcConfig *)cmdArgs);
and the dcSetConfig function in turns execute the following line of code (in same file)
retVal = dcConfigVencMode(&(dcConfig->vencInfo));
Further the dcConfigVencMode fucntion is in returing -1 i.e. FVID2_EFAIL .
In conclusion we are not able to configure the Venc/s and start it .
ARE WE MISSING SOMETHING ??
IS THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TIE DVO2 AND HDMI ??
Please help us out .
P.S. : Please refer to the link below which we followed (same link i posted above)

Thanks.
