AM335x eMMC time out...

Hello,

I have a custom board similar to BeagleBone White. A Micron eMMMC "N2M400FDA311A3BE" is on mmc0 port with 4-bit configuration. It works ok in Linux (based on Ti LinuxSDK 05.07). However, in u-boot, any MMC command times out except CMD0.

Any idea?

Do you get timeouts when you type in mmc rescan?

Thanks Steve for your response.

Yes, it times out when doing the mmc rescan with the message "Card did not respond to voltage select!". If I do mmc part, it also shows "get mmc type error!".

I put some debug print in the u-boot code and noticed that, except for the CM0, which does not expect any response, any other command that requires a response times out.

Can you check your pin-mux and make sure it is correct?

The pin mux works correctly, because the eMMC works fine in Linux. The problem is in the u-boot, eMMC always times out on almost all the CMDs except CMD0 which does not ask for response.
