Dark frame subtraction

Hi,

From which frame you want to subtract dark frame? the frame which is coming in from the vport or for the frame from ipipeif. Please note that it is not possible to do dfs on the later case.

         sorry, I don't get your meaning, for I think, I want to make the dfs done on the data path  VP to IPIPEIF,

   that is,when IPIPEIF receive the frame from VP, the same time,it read dark frame form BL, remove the dark noise,output the frame to SDRAM.

         Is that right? 

         when tuning DFS,I find whether I config INPSRC1=2 or INPSRC2=2,RSZ_DMA_INT don't occurs any more.

I think DFS work on two ways:

       (1) INPSRC1 = ISIF_DKFM (Data Flow Memory-to-Memory)

          When IPIPEIF receive input frame from VP, it reads fixed pattern noise(dark frame)from BL, VP - BL, remove noise and output the frame to ISIF; 

 I have figured out the reason,cause based on the datasheet,memory-to-memory mode doesn't support DFS,only continuous mode support!

I still have a doubt regarding the way dark frames are captured when the shutter is closed. Reading documentation I understand how to enable Dark Frame Subtraction feature but I can't find any information confirming if the dark frames (DF) are captured automatically or if there is a procedure to get them.

In case DF is captured automatically I'd like to know how to read that frame from SDRAM and if not, I'd like to know which is the best way to write a dark frame to SDRAM, in which SDRAM address the DF has to be written and how to handle the shutter (I mean, how to make sure shutter is closed).
