How to make BBB think my board is the cape

HI,

My customer is making their own "cape" for the BBB.

We want to copy the contents of the BBB cape EEPROM to our EEPROM so we can make the BBB think our board is the cape.

How do i do this?

If it's a I2C EEPROM, which is likely the case, you can read the contents and program the second EEPROM using a programmer like Aardwark.

Can you please provide more detailed instructions on how to do this? I sent your previous comments to my customer and he said he needs more help. Please advise ASAP

We don't support the community capes or the community linux distributions that include support for the capes, so we don't have the knowledge to fully answer this question. Your customer will be able to get a good answer from the community forums, though: http://beagleboard.org/Community/Forums
