OMAP-L138 VFAT

VFAT on Linux is compatible with FAT32.  Basically VFAT is the FAT file system with support for longer names than the traditional 8.3 naming that FAT uses.  You can find some more information on this at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table.  Often when you want to format something like a USB key to be used between a Windows and Linux system you should format it as FAT32 because both can access.

If we use DSP6748 chip only, is VFAT still available inside it? Or it's only available thru ARM's Linux in the OMAP-L138 configuration?

The filesystem for the DSP seems to support FAT 64. But this was made for C6747, not for C6748.

VFAT support for C67xx is available as part of RTFS package.

Even though the table listed only 6747 & 6748, you mention C67xx. Does it mean 6745 will also be supported. It's one of other chip we are considering....

RTFS package is technically is not dependant on the underlying dsp versions but product packaging would ideally decide whether c6745 has support for RTFS.
